As a wedding photographer, if my working day begins with a deep blue sky and warm spring sunshine then I’m happy. The final weekend of March was just such a day for my first 2017 Kelham House Hotel Wedding for the marriage of Amy and Craig. When I arrived at Kelham House Hotel, as most wedding photographers will acknowledge, our creative brain goes into overdrive, as I walked up the tree lined drive towards the grand looking house I began to plan out certain shots for the new Mr & Mrs Farrell. With various family members already busy putting the final touches to the room decorations, and people hurriedly walking to and from different rooms carrying all manner of dresses, and suits carried on hangers, that familiar sense of the pre-wedding build up was firmly in the air for this Kelham House Hotel Wedding.

Amy, along with sisters and friends were busy waiting for dry nails, having hair styled and entertaining the children. There was a palpable excitement as people came and went from the bridal suite. As is my normal bridal prep routine, I positioned myself out of the way and began to document the morning as it unfolded naturally, the laughter and the tears as Amy read a card from Craig. Before long Craig arrived, in full Scottish finery with his best men and, as with most grooms, did what any care free groom would do, headed straight for the bar.

The entire day from start to finish went without a hitch, a sun filled ceremony and then drinks and mingling on the lawns. As the shadows lengthened while day turned in to dusk we grabbed the couple away to take advantage of the final dregs of sunlight in the gardens, as the sunset Amy & Craig completed the ceremonial cake cutting and first dance in front of a lively and loud crowd. Our sincere thanks for allowing us to capture your day at the lovely Kelham House Hotel, we hope the following highlights remind you of your wonderful day and our warm wishes for your future happiness.
